Deressa is a PhD student at IDLab-MEDIA. He received his Master of Science in Computer Science in Data and Web Engineering at the Addis Ababa University in 2020 and since 2023 he is working towards his PhD in the domain of Multimedia Forensics in the context of the FWO research project “Compression History Discovery through Video Range Decoding for Fake Video Detection”, promoted by Prof. Glenn Van Wallendael and Dr. Hannes Mareen.
